KS-BPR are special bullet proof doors & are designed to protect people and property from firearms bullets and shrapnel. They are usually used in government buildings, financial institutions, VIP homes, areas with high crime-rates and in any building site where increased safety levels are desired. K-STEEL manufacture bullet resistant doors in accordance with the various levels of UL 752. These doors range from having the ability to withstand 3 shots from a 9mm pistol with a full metal copper jacket and lead core (UL level 1) to 5 shots from a 5.56 rifle. The doors are made out of single leaf over lapping, with main structure with seamless finish & has a fantastic structural stability & strength. In core material is totally filled by Alumina Ceramic fibre core which is normally used for High Temperature Gas Furnaces, and with capacity of over 3000 Deg Centigrade, easily withstands Fire resistant up to 4 hours ratings. The core fills the entire door cavity and is chemically bonded to all interior surfaces. Density of infill core exceeds 96 kg/m3. The top and bottom of the door edges are closed by 1.5mm steel channel welded in place, for accommodating accessories like door closers & bottom door seals.
